STEAM Kits

We are distributing 750 FREE STEAM Kits. See the video that  accompanies the Kit. Each contains the materials to create four different bridges using the Engineering Design Process. Get your STEAM Kit at Killip School:

  • Friday, 9/18/20: 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Monday, 9/21: 9 – 11 AM
  • Tuesday, 9/22: 7:30 AM – Noon
  • Wednesday, 9/23: 7:30 AM – Noon
  • Thursday, 9/24: 7:30 AM – Noon
  • Friday, 9/25: 7:30 AM – 1 PM

Geocaching at Fort Tuthill

Tynkertopia invites your family to experience geocaching at Fort Tuthill! Use your smartphones to locate hidden containers called geocaches. Each cache will contain a STEAM challenge. The final cache will contain a small prize for each family that locates all the caches. Start times from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Reservations at http://bit.ly/2Zm7QJS

Create a Creature
Audience: Kids of any age. Families members encouraged to participate as well!

Recycling is important and building something from recycled materials is both fun and helpful to our planet. In this online workshop, you will create a creature from recyclable materials around your house. Before the workshop, gather together some tape, glue, and scissors. All other materials will be gathered during the workshop. Be sure to take a photo of your creature and email it to info@tynkertopia.org so we can post it on our website: www.tynkertopia.org after the Festival of Science.

Audience: Kids of any age. Families members encouraged to participate as well!

In this online workshop, you will create a fort from old newspaper or recycled printer paper. Before the workshop, gather together a stack of old newspapers or used printer paper, some tape, and scissors. Be sure to take a photo of your fort and email it to info@tynkertopia.org so we can post it on our website: www.tynkertopia.org after the Festival of Science.
